Chinese New Year 2014 is here! The Chinese Calendar , much like the Islamic Calendar is a lunar calendar. The Chinese calendar however, has a correction every 3 years to add an additional Lunar Month. The articular in Wikipedia is a little serious, so I’ll link something more digestible below. London has quite a diverse ethnic group with a large Chinese community, as such Chinese New Year is a bit of an event with parades, food stalls and even the obligatory lion dances. Welcome the year of the wood horse everyone!
